With the record-breaking surge of Covid-19 cases in India, major countries around the globe have restricted people from India to enter their boundaries. The infographic shows that 26 major countries have banned travel from India.
Since Australia has the strictest rules and regulations for traveling during the pandemic, therefore, the country has not only restricted the people from India to entry Australian boundaries through any means but also forbidden the Indians living in Australia to fly back to their homes. Also, the Australian government has threatened people with jail terms if they try to enter after being into the subcontinent for the past 14 days. Likewise, several countries with strict travel bans have similar orders for the citizens making attempts to return to their homes after spending time in India.
Other countries that don’t allow travel to and from India currently include, Canada, Belgium, Kuwait, Hong Kong, Iran, Germany and more. Furthermore, Indian neighbors Pakistan and Bangladesh have also banned people from India to enter their territories through air and land both.
As for China, the country has had very strict rules for travel even before India’s second wave hence, it doesn’t require further strictness. There are only a few exceptions for which traveling might be allowed to and from India but would be followed by extensive testing for virus and quarantine requirements by the hotel.
