Across the United States of America, gun control is always a hot button issue among the public. Several Americans across the country firmly believe that owning firearms is a right of theirs that is protected by the Second Amendment of the Constitution. Yet, does the gun violence in any particular state coincide in any way with that state's measures on gun control? The team at Joslyn Law Firm put together this infographic that takes a closer look at where the highest firearm homicide rates are in the country (per 100,000 people), along with their gun-friendliness scores. The ten states that top the list with the highest homicide rates include Louisiana (11.0 deaths per every 100,000 people), Mississippi (10.2 deaths), Alabama (9.5 deaths), Missouri (8.5 deaths) and Maryland (7.4 deaths).
