According to Apple, the company is pushing the roll out of its
newly launched Podcast subscription service to June.
While Apple has not disclosed the reason behind the delay,
it has, however, informed Podcast producers about it via an email.
The tech giant first announced its Podcast subscriptions in April. The service would offer podcast creators the opportunity to sell access to shows, exclusive content, ad-free programming, and other options through the Podcasts platform.
Along with the annual subscription options, the option to
set subscription pricing, including automated monthly billing is also
available.
System level support for subscriptions and channels is now available
with the release of iOS 14.6, iPadOS 14.6 and macOS Big Sur 11.4.
