Since the Clubhouse is becoming a stronger competitor of Instagram and other social communication apps, Instagram rolled out a new feature to attract more users or more specifically, have the current users glued to the platform. For that purpose, the company released two new options for IG Live broadcast and live stream.
During IG Live broadcast, you will now be able to switch off your video anytime in-between whereas, in-between the live stream you can mute your audio. The options for switching off the video or audio will be present at the bottom of the screen which will require a single tap only. Once you switch off your camera, you and everyone else will see your display picture in place of your live video.
From what it has been observed, it looks like Facebook-owned Instagram has added the new features inspired by the Clubhouse. The newly established social media app, Clubhouse is evolving constantly and gaining new users rapidly hence, seems like a worrisome concern for Instagram.
