Apparently, if you ask Siri “When is the next Apple Event?”,
the Apple AI will respond with “April 20th”. However, you’ll get
this response only if your device is associated with a US Apple ID. It looks like
Apple is going to make the official announcement about its event soon.
Siri is revealing quite a bit about the event, as the full
message from the AI says, “The special event is on Tuesday, April 20th, at
Apple Park in Cupertino, CA. You can get all the details on Apple.com.” The
provided link will take you to the standard Apple Event landing page, but the
launch is not listed there yet.
While the news from Siri doesn’t reveal what Apple would be announcing
at its event, rumors are suggesting that the tech giant would be launching new
iPad Pro models. Reportedly, Apple’s 12.9-inch iPad Pro will be the company’s first
device with a Mini LED screen, hence offering a high contrast ratio without the
risk of burn-in due to OLED displays. Moreover, due to protection issues
because of the mini LED screens, there may be shortage in supply of the new
iPad Pros.
Some reports are also suggesting that the new iPad Pros are
likely to include new processors with a similar amount of power as that of the
M1 chip found in Apple’s recent MacBooks. The models would also feature better
cameras and USB-C ports with faster transfer speeds.
In addition to the iPad Pros, Apple is also rumored to
launch its long-awaited AirTags that were expected to launch last year. AirTags
are Apple’s location tracking devices that will help users keep track of their items
using Apple’s Find My software. Since Apple has recently launched its new Find
My Network program for third-party companies, the AirTags are expected to come
out soon.
