Apple, at its Spring event, rolled out a new line of iMacs with fresh paint all-in-one desktop computers. These new models are integrated with Apple’s M1 chip. Moreover, the iMacs are available in five different colors, unlike the predecessor MacBook aluminum look. After 1998, this was the first time when the company has launched a variety of colors for its desktop computers. That being said, is Apple the leading desktop brand in the USA? Because of Apple’s incredible fame and exceptional quality of products, most people believe it to be the leading brand. However, the ratings in the infographic below tell a different story.
Currently, Dell is the most popular desktop brand in the United States as around 33 percent of desktop owners have Dell desktops. Followed very closely by HP with 31 percent usage in households. To our surprise, Apple rests at the third position since only 13 percent of desktop owners are using it. The prominent reason for Apple’s low usage could be its extremely heavy price tag. Alienware, Lenovo, ASUS, etc. are also seen making their way into the list of top brands however, their usage percent is below 10.
