The Covid-19 has impacted the countries in ways more than anyone could ever imagine. In order to determine that how long would it take for different countries to return to the pre-COVID levels, Ipsos conducted a survey. The infographic paints a picture based on the survey results and according to it, less than a quarter of respondents from nearly 30 different countries expect to get back to normal within six months. Around 34 percent of people from different countries believe that the Covid-19 restrictions won’t be dismissed anytime soon in 12 months whereas, around 8 percent of the respondents are hopeless and believe that life would never go back to normal as pre-pandemic levels.
Out of several countries, the most negative responses were received from the countries including, Spain, South Korea, Italy, France, and Japan. Almost two-thirds of the Japanese respondents believe that the Covid-19 restrictions will stay in place for more than a year. Moreover, votes for “things would never return to normal” were also received the highest in number by Japanese people.
On the other hand, Chinese people were the most optimistic and rightfully so, the country has performed incredibly well against the Covid-19. Around 17 percent of Chinese respondents said that life has already returned to pre-COVID days. Other countries that expect to come out of the pandemic soon include Brazil and India.
As far as the UK and USA is concerned, 25 percent of people from the UK and 31 percent from the USA have high hopes to return back to normal within the next six months.
