Bloomberg NEF released a new report that reveals that all the steps of photovoltaic solar panel production are currently dominated by China and rightfully so, the country has been investing in the renewable energy industry incredibly more than any other country. All the other countries looking up their solar capacity, none is even close to that of the Chinese.
According to the infographic below, China holds all the production steps from Polysilicon whereas, South Korea as well as the USA and Canada are a minor sharer in the manufacture of photovoltaic solar panel i.e., 14 percent by Korea and a collectively 5 percent only by USA and Canada.
Around 60 percent value of solar panels that are assembled in the USA is generated in China. Similarly, nearly 70 percent value of the Southeast Asia-assembled solar modules is generated in China.
