The news has just rolled in that WhatsApp will be integrating voice and video call features in its desktop app for both the Mac and PC. According to the company, the new desktop feature of voice and video calls was tested for a couple of months before making it officially public.
Moreover, the company said that just like the WhatsApp mobile calls, the desktop calls would be secured by end-to-end encryption as well in order to keep the contents of the call between the two participants only.
However, the users won’t be able to make group calls via the WhatsApp desktop app currently, but the company plans to update the group calling feature in the near future.
