WhatsApp has reportedly terminated its support for iOS and
all other versions before it, and will now require at least version 10 of iOS to
run on an Apple device.
Most of the iOS 9 users were using WhatsApp’s service on their iPhone 4s. Now that WhatsApp requires at least iOS 10 to function, users will need at least iPhone 5 or a later Apple model to use the service.
Users who are no longer able to use WhatsApp due to this
update should back up their WhatsApp chats to iCloud, so they can restore them
to a new device that supports the app.
