Twitter is testing a new feature for iOS devices that will
allow users to watch YouTube videos in their Twitter timeline without having to
close Twitter and switch to the YouTube app.
Earlier, iOS users would tap on a YouTube video link, which would take them to the YouTube app, but now they can view the videos directly on Twitter.
In addition to this new iOS feature, Twitter is expected to
launch a new chat room feature as soon as next month, called Spaces. The feature
is rumored to be a copy of the social networking app Clubhouse.
Spaces will provide public chat rooms to users that they can
create or join, with several control options given to the host of the chat
room. Up to 9 speakers can be added in the room.
