It is no surprise that one single account owner of Netflix shares his/her password with several other people. Even people countries apart use the same Netflix account but, they might not be able to do so anymore since the giant online streaming company has planned a crackdown on password sharing.
Many Netflix users have seen a warning message on the application that reads, "If you don't live with the owner of this account, you need your own account to keep watching." After the warning, the users are requested to verify the account via text verification code or email or simply sign up for an individual Netflix account.
However, we are unaware of the metrics that the company is using to figure out whether the people sharing passwords live in the same house or not.
