Spring training is opening up for many professional baseball teams across the country. On top of that, many teams are starting to allow limited amount of fans back in the stadium this summer as local COVID-19 restrictions ease up in the summer months. There are also few things more enjoyable that enjoying a cold beer and a baseball game during the warm summer months. Some fanbases are more well-known than others for having a few too many during a baseball game, but which MLB fans are the biggest drinkers?
NJ Online Gambling recently surveyed 2,631 Major League Baseball fans over the age of 21, to learn about their drinking habits and to find out which fanbases drink the most. Listed below are the full rankings for all MLB teams:
1. The Chicago White Sox – 4.2 drinks consumed per game with an average spend of $46 on alcohol during the baseball game.
2. The Atlanta Braves – 4.0 drinks consumed per game with an average spend of $32 on alcohol during the baseball game.
3. The Cincinnati Reds - 3.8 drinks consumed per game with an average spend of $40 on alcohol during the baseball game.
4. The Cleveland Indians – 3.8 drinks consumed per game with an average spend of $35 on alcohol during the baseball game.
5. The San Diego Padres - 3.7 drinks consumed per game with an average spend of $27 on alcohol during the baseball game.
6. The Colorado Rockies - 3.6 drinks consumed per game with an average spend of $40 on alcohol during the baseball game.
7. The Washington Nationals – 3.6 drinks consumed per game with an average spend of $35 on alcohol during the baseball game.
8. The Baltimore Orioles - 3.5 drinks consumed per game with an average spend of $31 on alcohol during the baseball game.
9. The Detroit Tigers - 3.5 drinks consumed per game with an average spend of $35 on alcohol during the baseball game.
10. The Milwaukee Brewers - 3.5 drinks consumed per game with an average spend of $35 on alcohol during the baseball game.
11. The Minnesota Twins - 3.5 drinks consumed per game with an average spend of $29 on alcohol during the baseball game.
12. The New York Mets - 3.5 drinks consumed per game with an average spend of $53 on alcohol during the baseball game.
13. The Arizona Diamondbacks – 3.4 drinks consumed per game with an average spend of $29 on alcohol during the baseball game.
14. The Chicago Cubs - 3.4 drinks consumed per game with an average spend of $45 on alcohol during the baseball game.
15. The Kansas City Royals - 3.3 drinks consumed per game with an average spend of $25 on alcohol during the baseball game.
16. The Miami Marlins - 3.3 drinks consumed per game with an average spend of $31 on alcohol during the baseball game.

The next part of the survey asked some fun questions about pregaming before a baseball game and also asking fans if they have missed any parts of games as a result of drinking too much beforehand.
