Energy conservation is one of the driving forces behind the investment, development, and research in solar energy. It's been determined by experts in the field that we're currently stripping the Earth of its natural resources at rates much faster than we'll be able to regenerate them. The statistics and research show that we would actually need 1.75 Earths to sustain the current demand of resource consumption. In fact, in comparison to other countries, the United States ranks very high when it comes to the overall consumption of both energy and natural resources.
This infographic from SolarPower.guide takes a look at which states across America use the most energy, as well as which use the least. The state that uses the most energy in the country is actually Wyoming, where 28.97 megawatts-hour are consumed on average. On the flip side, the state that is using the least amount of electricity per capita on average is California at 6.34 megawatts-hour.
