Reddit is working on redesigning its entire site for Android
users with new features. The overall look of Reddit for Android would appear
more sophisticated and simple now. Reddit did the same revamp for iOS and
mobile web users last year and is now making it available for Android users starting
from this month.
The icons on the revamped Reddit website would stand out more,
with the colors giving it a nicer look. Unnecessary tools and information have
been removed, which would make the site appear less cluttered.
One noticeable change is that the Daily Digest mails of Reddit will now show more information about other posts and images. The informational page for Reddit premium users will also features new options, as well as custom built application icons.
Another prominent change is that in the notification bar,
which is meant to boost user engagement by notifying users about the number of
posts and content they receive from a community to help them know which
community is working the best. Earlier, viewers and members would only see the
content recommended by creators through the notification bar.
The revamped site has still not been finalized as Reddit is
still testing out new design variants and plans to make changes based on the
results and feedback from the tests. Reddit is also allowing users to share
their opinions regarding the new design via an open space.
Moreover, creators on Reddit have been given a new option
which helps members learn about the most trending topics and browse through a wider
space and selection.
