After the reels’ feature, emulated from TikTok, the social media giant, TikTok has confirmed its working on the “Vertical Stories” feature. The users currently browse through the stories by swiping left or right horizontally, which is a feature that Instagram copied from Snapchat. But, with the new update, the users would be able to swipe up and down vertically to navigate through the stories. Now the stories will behave like reels as well.
Since vertical swipes are more natural and easier to navigate, and that is how most of the social media apps work, including Facebook’s News Feed, Twitter’s Home Page, and YouTube’s home as well. Keeping this in mind, Instagram’s vertical stories will undoubtedly be a notable change.
