The world is getting worst and worst in terms of global warming, every other day the number of pollutants are rising. Things that are being overlooked now can bring a lot of consequences for the entire planet. Many people may not know that the construction of buildings also contributes to global warming. Wondering how? Well, in 2019, the International Energy Agency (IEA) reported that the buildings and their construction together accounted for 35 percent of the total energy use whereas, 38 percent of the energy and other processes related to carbon dioxide emission.
In order to reduce this number, the building developers and construction firms are looking for ways to construct buildings in smarter and greener ways. This will not only save the cost but also cause no harm to the environment.
Construction of “smart” and “green” building will ultimately make the companies in the future to follow the same pattern and build “intelligent” buildings to diminish its adverse effects on the environment and improve the lifestyle by preserving more of the world’s natural resources.
All building in the world must be zero carbon in the net by the year 2050 to ensure the achievement of this goal. However, currently, the world is way below par as only 1 percent of buildings in the world have zero carbon footprint.
