The American alt-tech social networking and microblogging platform, Parler faced troubles after the January 6th riot in the Capitol. Since the platform has a significant number of users that are Donald Trump’s supporters, right-wing extremists, conservatives, and conspiracy theories, it was suspended from various other platforms.
About over a week ago, Google suspended the Parler app from the Google Play Store, and Apple followed its footsteps, i.e., banned the Parler app from the App Store. However, John Matze, the CEO of Parler, posted a short message on the Parler website where he asked, “Hello world, is this thing on?”. He asked the question right above a note where the company said they would restore the platform as soon as the hurdles are over.
Amazon also restricted Parler to host its services and took down the website until they find a new web hosting service.
