As per the latest earning reports of Netflix, the giant online streaming service is seen to have a massive growth in the number of subscribers over a year. According to the reports, the company has hit the milestone of surpassing 200 million subscribers for the first time.
The infographic below reveals the growth of Netflix’s subscribers by region, and according to the chart, the highest number comes from the United States and Canada. As of December 31st, 2020, the company has added nearly 36.5 million paid subscribers from different parts of the world; however, 30.3 out of them were from outside the United States and Canada.
The company’s base growth of subscribers has increased impressively in Europe, Middle East and Africa, i.e., accelerating from 51.8 to 66.7 million subscribers from the region. Whereas, in Asia-Pacific, the growth was comparatively lesser with only not so less 22.5 million subscribers.
The monthly revenue per subscriber on an average is recorded the highest in North America ($13.51), followed by Europe. On the second comes EMEA ($11.05) followed by Asia-Pacific and Latin America at $9.32 and $7.12, respectively.
Netflix’s service is available in more than 190 countries of the world currently having North Korea, China and Syria as the only exceptions.
