Facebook is the largest social media application, with billions of daily active users. On the platform, there are uncountable public pages that are of users’ interest, and they love to follow the posts shared by the pages. The social media giant announced on Wednesday that they had made a little change in the public pages, i.e., the company has dropped the ‘likes’ button from these pages.
Hence, the public pages will now show only the followers they have and a dedicated News Feed. In the News Feed, the users can participate in the conversation, engage with fans, and interact with peers, as per the company’s blog post states.
Facebook’s aim for redesigning the public pages is to make the interaction of the users with their favorite pages more simplified.
