Several Google services faced widespread outage due to which millions of users were unable to access the services. The first service reported with the issue was Gmail around 6:40 AM ET, with services down like Gmail, Google Docs, G Suite etc., businesses faced extreme trouble in carrying out various tasks as Gmail is one of the widely used applications for formal communication.
The tech giant did not acknowledge the issue itself, which kept the users even more curious. Google faced such a major outage in August 2020 as well. Due to the outage, around 2 billion users were locked out of their Google accounts, including cloud storage, email inboxes, Watch Later playlists, and documents.
Other major Google services that were unavailable simultaneously include YouTube, Google Drive, Maps, Adwords and Adsense, Google Home and a few more. However, the services have been restored by the company in less than an hour. MacRumors tweeted about the restoration of the Google services to share the news with troubled users.
