As the year is coming to an end, Google has revealed the top searches made in 2020 so far. Among the top searches, 'coronavirus' and 'zoom' are of no surprise, as many would expect. Among Us and Zoom have also been the most downloaded apps of 2020, as previously announced by Apple. All these searches and more have been driving a lot of traffic on the Internet.
A lot of the searches have been very depressing too, such as 'Australia wildfires', and 'unemployment', which has been a major issue in 2020 due to the global pandemic. Among the top searches was also 'murder hornet', which made up quite a different search in contrast to others.
In politics, the U.S. election seemed to have taken the limelight, with most of the searches being related to President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
In the entertainment spotlight, the top searches among tv shows and movies were 'Little Women', 'Sonic the Hedgheog', 'Cobra Kai', 'Outer Banks', 'The Queen's Gambit' and 'Little Fires everywhere'. With most of the searches being of tv shows on Netflix.
