The reason for these stores shutting down is evident. The second wave of COVID-19 has been causing havoc and Apple wants to play it carefully. Considering how the number of cases has been increasing, the tech giant has been closing its stores temporarily.
In California, Apple has shut down all its four stores in Tennessee namely. As well as all its stores in other locations such as Utah, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Portland, Anchorage, Omaha and Albuquerque. The lockdown was effective immediately from December 20th. In the UK, Apple has announced the closure of 16 of its stores.
The state of California has also been under emergency due to COVID-19. Messages are being sent directly to phones to help people stay at home and understand the gravity of the situation.
