When we compare the cities to one another, we usually
compare them taking their population, surface area, greenery, tourism,
popularity, but we don’t usually consider its elevation. There are thousands of
cities in the world who are reside g in the highlands, plateaus, and mountain
range. Usually thee cities have a good tourism rate because of its elevation.
Many elevated cities are actually national capitals of most
countries so it defines their importance to the world. It is unusual to see
that or maybe expected that the country would have its population centers closer
to the sea level. There are a lot of cities in South America that resides in
the mountain ranges. One most notable one is Mexico City which is the world’s 8th
largest metropolis. Along with Mexico City, there is Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa,
Tehran, and Johannesburg. All of these cities are capitals of their respective
countries.
