A Swedish environmental activist, Greta Tintin Eleonora Ernman Thunberg, is recognized worldwide due to her protests against climate change. She was as young as 15 years old since she started to miss her school for protests. The little girl very soon realized that adult and mature teachers who teach them stuff in school do not follow it themselves. That was the day when she decided that she needs to make her teachers walk their talk.
Greta’s story is extremely inspiring in various ways; she was born in 2003 in Sweden and was just 8 years old when she got to learn about climate change. She was so worried why no one is doing anything for this disastrous change coming our way. In 2018, Sweden was hit by record-breaking weather, heatwaves, wildfires, and a lot more, to which Greta decided to raise her voice. The girl missed her school and protested in front of the Swedish Parliament. She believed that she had to do it because adults were only putting her future at stake.
The little girl started it all alone at the start of 2018, and by the end of the year, she was accompanied by 20,000+ students from 270 different cities. In 2019, Greta was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize because of her superb dedication and love for mother nature. Soon she started influencing the youth and school students in an extraordinary way that millions of people came forward for her support.
