Google is currently working on developing a kind of AI called URL2Video that would convert web pages to short videos. According to the company, the system would work by compiling pieces of text, images, and other formats into a series of shots with dynamic angles. The shots will be arrayed in a certain way, resulting in making the webpage that they come from appear as somewhat more attractive to a user.
This is a part of Google’s attempt to increase the amount of traffic that businesses using its platform can direct to their sites and web pages. This new AI approach would help draw traffic to sites and pages as most businesses and advertisers rely on visuals to better market their products. Converting web pages to short videos would be a great benefit to businesses, especially small businesses for whom the costs of creating videos is too much to bear.
Apart from helping save money, the URL2Video would also help businesses save a lot of time, hence allowing them to start off with their operations sooner, which in return would increase their business output.
While Google’s new AI model would be a game changer for the business community, video creators may not be too happy with this initiative.
