HBO Max is coming to Amazon Fire TV devices after Amazon and WarnerMedia, owner of HBO, mutually agreed for the initiative. HBO launched its steaming service HBO Max about six months ago.
As part of the companies’ agreement however, Amazon will be removing HBO from its Prime Video Channels selection starting next year. Amazon Prime Video Channels provide subscription to individual streaming channels, for which it charges a monthly fee and the channels can then be watched on Amazon.
On the other hand, HBO Max offers all the things that are part of the regular HBO subscription, along with additional movies, shows, and original series.
It looks like that while WanrnerMedia is working on building its subscription base for HBO Max, it is attempting to remove some avenues to watch the standard HBO channel online.
