The social media giant Twitter recently launched a new feature called ‘Twitter Fleets’ that allows the users to post stories, media files that are ephemeral or, in other words, stays for a limited period of time. Similar to Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat stories, Twitter Fleets will stay visible for 24 hours and disappear after it. Twitter users seemed pretty happy with the new feature, but, unfortunately, the feature has been bugged that has affected its normal functionality.
The bug makes the Fleet stay visible for longer than its limited time. Another thing that can happen due to this bug is that even if the Fleet disappears from the feed, it might stay at the back-end servers. The issue can also lead to privacy issues as anyone will be able to view and download your Fleet without even notifying you about it.
The company confirmed the issue and told that the team is working on a fix. However, if the problem turns out to be something against the company’s policies, Twitter Fleets will possibly be put at a halt for an undefined period of time.
