Snapchat launches a new feature of Sounds to be played in the snaps

A new feature of Sounds that allows the users to add short clips of songs in their pictures and videos made from Snapchat has been successfully released. Songs are a great way to describe the vibe that you captured in the snap; the feature is, however, only available on iOS devices for now. The test feature was first rolled out in New Zealand and Australia but now is made available all over the world. The new music update features limited songs that include "Lonely," Justin Bieber, and Benny Blanco's new release.

IOS users from all around the globe can now add their favorite song from the given list pre or post-capture of the snap or video. A music symbol is present on the right side of the screen from where a user can add the music. Imagine how cool it will be to send a picture or video with your favorite song that matches the snap's vibe.
If you receive a snap with music added to it and want to listen to it, just swipe up and tap "Play This Song" it will redirect you to a page and show different platforms to choose from. The platforms are, Apple Music, of course, Spotify, Merchbar (to buy relevant, cool merch), Deezer, iTunes store (to download the track), and Soundcloud.

The tech giant has now made agreements with several music publishers for multiple years in order to keep its users entertained. The music publishers include Universal Music Publishing Group, Warner Music Group, Kobalt and BMG Music Publishing, NMPA, Warner Chappell Music, and Merlin, including all of its independent label members. However, the one big name missing from the list is Sony Music Entertainment.

Apart from this update, the company told that they are currently working on the feature of creating your own music and add them to the snaps just like TikTok. The feature is in testing mode right now, but it will be released worldwide on Snapchat in a few months as per the company.
