The COVID-19, dubbed coronavirus, has taken over the world
in 2020. The new decade did not get off on a good note as the pandemic began. As
of today, there have been more than 38 million cases of COVID around the world
since its outbreak and more than a million deaths due to the disease. The
situation got bad in March and the world was placed in lockdown.
Countries all over the world have been hit – some heavier
than others but hit nonetheless. Thanks to the healthcare workers, the
situation was contained at first with immediate treatment but soon, the hospitals
would fill up with no room for new patients. However, patients were still coming
every day, every hour. The situation got bad and governments had to take some
measures to ensure that there are more beds and healthcare workers to treat the
infected.
China was the first country to be hit bad with this coronavirus
and the country, which was once bustling with people, was put on lockdown with
not a soul roaming the streets. Then it was Italy, Germany and so on. The United
States got hit late but hard. Currently the USA has more COVID case than any
other country in the world. India follows close behind, then Brazil and so on.
