Facebook is Reportedly Testing New Options for the Visibility of Stories - Visualistan -->

    Social Items

Facebook seems to be working on making stories stay longer than 24 hours on its platform. The change was observed by analyst Matt Navarra and mobile developer Alessandro Paluzzi.

A screenshot shared by Paluzzi shows three new options for stories that Facebook may provide to users, including making stories available for 24 hours, 12 hours, or 3 days.

The options are still being tested by Facebook, so it is not certain whether they will officially make an appearance on Facebook or not, and when.

While the new options seem to be interesting, Facebook may receive some backlash over focusing on unnecessary features rather than actual serious concerns like its lenient content moderation policies and its tardy attitude towards controlling the spread of hateful and violent content across its platform.

We can only leave it up to the users to see how they respond to the new story options, if and once they roll out.
