As it turns out, the short answer is not really. Sure, there are plenty of sellers out there who want to sell high-quality, proven products. But there are also a lot of sellers out there who just want to make a buck, and they have found a safe haven on the largest online retailer in history:
Amazon. Amazon does not condone the selling of unsafe products, but unscrupulous sellers are perfectly happy to check the box and do as they please with little oversight. Sometimes it isn’t on purpose - some sellers buy odd lots from store closings and might not be aware they are selling something that is expired, for instance. But a shocking 82% of bodybuilding supplements sold online as well as half of vitamins and herbal supplements are mislabeled, which can cause serious problems for the end user.
