Technology has taken over our daily lives now. It is very
hard to escape the grips of technology these days, especially when it is present
in such a cast majority. Our culture’s dependence on technology is too much and
we often use the words like ‘addiction’ or ‘hooked’ but those are just words. Is
technology really affecting human psychology?
There is a lot of assessment on this subject. Some say that
the frowning over technology is overblown and we shouldn’t be worried while
others state the opposite, causing panic in people. Whatever it might be, you
cannot ignore the fact that technology is widely used in a positive (sometimes
negative) way in human life.
In hindsight, you can say that human is relying on these
devices and disabling their true capabilities of doing anything productive, due
to the dependence on such devices. On the other hand, you can also say that
many impractical things can be done easily and within seconds using the
technology. For instance, conveying a message has become a fairly easy task and
you can send a message or call in pretty much any part of the world now. Same is
the case with getting information from the internet.
A survey of more than a thousand people about their
dependence on technology showed very interesting results. Take a look at the infographic
which shows the key findings.
