The latest announcement made by President Trump will prove to be extremely groundbreaking for the upcoming month of September. According to the decisions declared by President Trump, people engaging with the applications of TikTok and Wechat will instantly be blocked after September 20.
According to the recent reports, Trump's inclination towards the extraction of user's data through the use of Chinese-based applications like TikTok and Wechat has increased threefold. To fight this battle, Trump has put emphasis on the immediate shutdown of these applications and the instant impediment of any user who tries to access it after September 20. China, however, has been making efforts to make amendments with the grave concerns of President Trump regarding the said issue.
On the other hand, China has announced the launch of its new company called TikTok global, which will suit the interests of the Trump administration concerning the users' privacy. The only condition upon which President Trump's rage will subside is through a settlement that involves the selling of these companies to the US, so the privacy of the users could be appropriately maintained and taken care of by the US itself.
However, any user engaging with the applications of Wechat and TikTok outside the US after September 20, will not be questioned or put on hold. These policies will only be effective inside the US.
