Pinterest is one of the most prominent and widely used apps for billions of free images. On the platform, you can find out highly aesthetic and almost accurate pictures of your interest. Not only images, but billions of videos are also available there. The company was working on the story mode for pins just like other top social media platforms and is finally rolling out the new feature today. The Story Pin feature will be however available in beta for some time.
The company was asked if and how will the Story Pins differ from the stories on Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook, etc. In response to the questions, head of content of Pinterest, David Temple told that Pinterest has a different view of Storie's. He said that on other social media platforms, people upload stories to show what they are doing at that moment whereas, Story Pins are introduced to show the users how people are trying out new things hence, both the ideas differ, no?
Another thing that will be changed in Story Pins is that it won’t disappear after 24 hours of posting. Pinterest now will also allow the creators to make their profile so that all of their content is showcased under their names with a proper profile instead of the pins only.
