Instagram is working on a new feature that would enable users to add Group Stories directly from the group chat. The option will work for every group chat that a user is part of.
Another feature that Instagram is reportedly working on is the Auto Advance or Automatic Swipe feature for Reels. App developer Alessandro Paluzzi spotted both the features that are currently under development.
The Automatic Swipe feature for Reels will let users watch as many Reels Stories without having to separately open each Story, which is similar to how Instagram allows users to view the regular Stories. With the help of this option, Instagram seems to be attempting to have more and more users interested in watching the content on Reels, so the feature can become more popular as a potential TikTok competitor.

Moreover, it looks like Instagram is also bringing more improvements to Direct Messages, for instance inlcuding a Starred section for messages. The section will include all the GIFs and stickers that users would have previously used with people in their DMs.
Sticker Effects will also be available to send in messages soon, along with the option to search for GIFs or stickers in the message composer box with the help of one or more words.
