Many precautionary measures have been issued to protect people from the wrath of COVID-19. But here's the thing— how can we make sure that people are actually following all these measures? For sure, we can't go into everybody's home to verify that people are washing their hands properly and disinfecting their surroundings. But what we can do is to make sure they follow all the necessary safety steps in public.
The nature of COVID-19 has brought about social distancing as the absolute public precautionary measure. To make sure this is followed properly, lockdown began to be implemented in every country we can think of. It is due to social distancing that public places like malls, schools, universities, offices etc were immediately closed. Some offices and businesses remained open though, with social distancing measures, as the cases hadn't been too many to bother.
And what about other essential public places that cannot be closed? Take hospitals and supermarkets as two such examples. We can even consider smaller grocery stores and medical shops. Since such places can get crowded very easily, people started marking the floors to indicate positions for standing in a line. The infographic below demonstrates how floor markings have helped carry out social distancing, along with a few other communication tools.
