Facebook has over 400 million users a month. Many people log on numerous times a day, checking up with friends and family, buying items in the marketplace, playing games, watching videos, and more. Every time a person logs on to Facebook they are leaving a digital breadcrumb trail of their interests, activities, and identification. People who oppose Facebook say that the tech giant is harvesting user information and selling personal data to its advertisers. The company has spent the last 15 years growing their empire and acquiring even more tech companies.
