Twitter confirmed on Saturday that it is testing some new language on tweet metrics that will make Quotes or Retweets with Comments visible on each tweet. Earlier, the social media company had worked on making Retweets with Comments more visible when a user taps to see retweets on a tweet. The feature is available to everyone.
Now, in an email to The Verge, a Twitter spokesperson revealed that Twitter is testing making Retweets with Comments accessible directly on the tweet and new language, Quotes, in an attempt to make them easier to access and more understandable.
The Retweets with Comments feature was tested in May with a bunch of iOS users. It listed the number next to a tweet's likes and retweets numbers and made it much easier for users to find quoted replies to a tweet.

Twitter has been experimenting with various interface changes over the past few months that didn't make it to the permanent features list, such as the Original Tweeter label, a snooze feature for notifications, and the option to receive notifications of replies to an original tweet.
The primary aim of Twitter by developing such features and whether making them permanently available or not, is to improve conversations among users.
