When speaking of digital marketing, how can we possibly not discuss the impact of influencers? You may have come across them on Instagram, Youtube and blogs. These are the topmost platforms used by influencers to promote their content or the content of anyone who partners with them.
While influencing may seem like an easy job on the surface, it is hard to keep up with. Imagine influencers having to face online bullying and making not only every post look good but also feel good, in terms of content. It can get tough for an influencer even if there's a single mistake, as millions of eyes are on them.
According to some e-commerce statistics, the influencer marketing industry has been growing and has been an all-time high in 2020. Many marketers look forward to influencers and around 19 per cent of them are will to spend between a range of 1000-10,000 dollars a year. As for others, they are willing to spend even way more than that.
Majority of influencers' followers are teenagers, making up 70 per cent of the audience. Almost half of an influencer's audience end up buying a product or using a service being promoted by them. In a company's budget, almost half of it is spent on influencers who are either celebrities, blogger or have some other sort of impact, particularly a powerful online presence.
