Microsoft Edge becomes number 1 alternative of Google Chrome

We have always seen Google Chrome dominating the browsing world, whereas, Mozilla Firefox was always the first go-to as Chrome alternative of everyone. Very few people knew about Microsoft’s Edge browser, but now it has gained enough fame and overtook Firefox as a Chrome alternative.

The best and most used browser is still Google Chrome; however, the second and third positions have been changed. Microsoft’s Edge browser rests at number two whereas, Mozilla Firefox is now at number three.

Microsoft’s Edge initially overtook Firefox with very less shares, but with time, Edge’s share started to increase with a bigger margin. But, users are now losing their trust in Google’s privacy terms hence slowly drifting towards more private yet secure browsers. Edge browser recently topped the security tests carried out by NSS Labs. Despite topping the security tests by NSS Labs, a few months back, a research proved Edge to be poor in privacy concerns.

Edge is surely a secure browser but cannot beat Firefox in terms of privacy. Just like Google Chrome, Microsoft’ Edge is also based on Chromium, which provides users with similar features as Chrome.
