Are you one of those small businesses that are still struggling for recognition? Facebook has announced its newest and by far the most obliging feature for its users who own a Facebook page, regardless of the number of audiences. The new feature enables the black owners of businesses to get identified for their work and get listed on the Black-owned businesses list. This initiative will not only help the business startups to get entitlement, but it will also help other platforms to acknowledge the name of these businesses.
The role of Facebook in the lives of black people
Facebook did not lag when the support of black-owned businesses was in question. This platform made sure to invest a fat amount of money around $200 in the small black-owned businesses, communities, non-profits, suppliers, and whatnot. Facebook has decided to place $40 Million as the grant money only for small scale black-owned businesses, which can only be acquired by 50 employees, to say the most. The funds, however, will only be awarded to the 10 thousand black-owned businesses.
Initiative for small black-owned businesses
Where Google invented a badge for black-owned businesses to pick up stream and Yelp made sure to create a special tool only for the black-owned businesses, Facebook has also decided to take part in this noble initiative and make the struggles of black people a little less painful.
