If we compare this to that in France, the iPhone 11 sales tax is 160 USD, which is 60 dollars more to the 100 USD sales tax figure in the United States.
Since India does not have Apple directly manufacturing in the country, therefore the cost of import duty is what adds up to the expensive consumer price of iPhones and of course, other Apple products as well. This is the main reason as to why there are as less as 3% sales of Apple in India since there's a little audience that can afford the iPhone.
