Korean pop sensation, BTS, is one of the most popular bands
in the world right now. They are known for their music videos, energy-packed dancing
and colorful themes. They rose to fame recently and very quickly. BTS is also
notorious in breaking records quite frequently.
The K-Pop scene is blowing up the YouTube community as they
are mindlessly breaking records. BTS recently released their new single “Dynamite”
which broke several records. One of them was that around 3 million people tuned
in live to watch the release which was twice as much as another K-Pop group,
Blackpink.
Blackpink is also a K-Pop group that has blasted onto the
scene and held the record for the most viewed music video in the first 24 hours
on YouTube with their “How You Like That” with 86 million people watching. Their
music video currently has 472 million views on YouTube as of this writing.
Despite this huge record, BTS managed to break this by
racking up 101 million views in the first 24 hours of their video. This is not
the first time they have achieved this feat. BTS, along with their fellow K-Pop
girl group, Blackpink, have about six videos combined to make the list of most
views in 24 hours. Four of these videos are of BTS whereas two of them belong
to Blackpink. Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande also make this list.
