As of 21 Aug 2020, Apple has yet set another record for itself. It has acquired a $2 trillion capitalisation and has become the first American company to do so. Globally, Apple has become the second company to boast a $2 trillion. The first one being an oil and gas company from Saudi Arabia, by the name of Saudi Aramco, back in the last month of 2019.
It is astonishing how Apple has reached this capitalisation value when a lot of companies worldwide continue to face disastrous results in the wake of the COVID-19. The credit goes to its share price, which has risen more than halfway, more than 50 % in 2020. And this hasn't been Apple's only win.
At the end of June, Apple had released its quarterly growth report, which was evidence of its massive revenue and profits in the making. Now that Apple has reached a magnificent milestone, it would be even more interesting to take a glance at the company's journey all the way from 2000.
Back in 2000, Apple's market capitalisation was $5 billion. Now let's have a look at the following infographic to learn their journey of 20 years, along with getting to know some fo their significant product launches during all these years.
