Workplace Death Statistics in the 100 Deadliest Metropolitan Areas #Infographic

Out of the 100 most dangerous metro areas for workers in America, ten of them can be found in Texas. The area that is ranked as being the most dangerous is Midland, Texas, which from 2016 through 2018 saw 7.67 workplace deaths each year per every 100,000 residents.

This infographic from Parker Waichman analyzes the 100 most dangerous metro areas across the nation, based on the number of workplace fatalities. Not only that, but it lists the safest metro areas in the country as well.

According to this study, the highest total of workplace fatalities came from the New York City-Newark-Jersey City metro areas. There, 215 of their 19,216,182 people fall victim to fatal workplace accidents each year. The safest metro area for workers in America was determined to be just north of New York City, specifically in the Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown area of New York.
