Microsoft just released
a new optional update for the 1809, 1903, and 1909 versions of Windows 10. The update
offers several bug fixes in the operating system, particularly targeting the problem that caused the Magnifier in MS Excel to stop working, eventually
causing Excel to crash.
Microsoft’s new update also addresses problems in File Explorer in the 1903 and 1905 versions. The issue was causing File Explorer to stop working when you would browse directories of raw images and other file types. Moreover, you will now also be able to delete previous terms from the search box.
Two more major issues
that the new update fixes in the 1903 and 1909 versions are the ones that blocked
internet access on Windows 10 devices when using a WWAN LTE modem, and prevented
the system from recognizing Windows’ Hello Face camera along with preventing
family safety features such as time limits and activity reporting from working on
ARM64 devices.
The update can be
downloaded by visiting Settings and finding Windows Update in the Update and Security
option. The link to download and install the update will be found in the “Optional
Updates Available” area.
The latest major update
made to Windows was the May 2020 update which offered new features for Cortana,
along with search and visual desktops and some other new features.
