Earlier on 14th July 2020, WhatsApp went down, which freaked out all the 2 billion users around the globe. Due to the service breakdown of the application, users were unable to send or receive messages for almost an hour. A connecting sign was continuously being shown in the app, which made the users believe that they have internet issues. Service issues in WhatsApp are extremely sporadic, the last failure that users experienced was more than a year ago in which WhatsApp outage was accompanied by Instagram and Facebook outages. WhatsApp is one of the most widely used instant messaging applications all around the world.
