The beginning of the new decade didn't start on the right foot as there were a lot of disasters since the start of 2020. Most notable was the pandemic of COVID-19 that occurred and basically forced everyone inside their homes with an eventual lockdown imposed and closures of retail stores.
People suffered harshly during the first month of the lockdown as no businesses were running, while the number of confirmed cases increased exponentially worldwide. People from around the world were affected by shellshock. The only thing that kept us going for a long time was technology and the internet. It helped us stay connected to our friends and families as well as the outside world.
