The sheer number of audiences that watches a single sporting
event makes up the marketing of millions of dollars for many companies.
Companies use this opportunity to advertise themselves in a sporting event more
than any other medium. A sporting event is not only packed with action-packed
fields, but it is also highly influenced by top marketing strategies, including
sponsorship and millions of dollars in investments.
Analysts have estimated that the North American sports
market will reach $80.3 billion as soon as 2022. This growth will be highly
influenced by four segments; copyrighted media rights, gate revenues,
sponsorship deals, and merchandise. Each of them expected to bring in $23.8
billion, $21 billion, $20 billion, and $15.2 billion, respectively.
